Street Light Needs


Please report street light outages to the following representatives:

For residents who live in Crocker Grove, Discovery, Empire Oaks, Huntington, Parke Place or Promontory Point, please report the light outage to your appropriate board or committee member.
 
For residents who live in Argonaut, Empire, Enterprise, Maidu/Hesperian, Marshall, Miners, Pioneer or Sutter Villages, SMUD requests you file a repair request on its website.  To  file a repair request, please click
here.  You are required to provide the following information when submitting the repair request:

  • Type of problem
  • Outage location (i.e. street address closest to light, nearest cross streets and direction the light figure faces)
  • Type of pole
  • Pole number
  • Contact information (This allows SMUD to e-mail you the status of the repair.)

Residents without internet access can report outages at (877) 622-7683. Press 2 at the prompt for "power problems."  Then press 3 at the prompt for "other electrical problems." Then press 4 at the prompt for "street light problems."  You will be redirected to a representative and asked to provide the same information noted above. This information helps the representative identify the correct pole. Once this information is provided, the repair takes 10 – 13 business days (2 – 3 weeks).

All other villages in Gold River are serviced by the County of Sacramento. The contact number is (916) 875-5171. Please provide the 5 digit pole number (located approximately 6 – 7 feet up on the front of the pole), the address or nearest cross street where the pole is located and details of the problem. Please note that the County receives over 400 calls a week and may take 6 – 8 weeks to make the repair.
