| On the night of Friday, January 23rd, a UPS truck hit the Sutter Village entrance sign at Gold Country Boulevard and Hock Farm Drive. The photos below show the fragile nature of the existing signs.
In this case, the UPS driver remained on the scene and GRCA obtained an accident report from the CHP. This isn’t always the case; often the driver leaves the scene and GRCA is left to replace the sign at a cost of $15,000.
The new granite signs while more resistant to damage cost less to replace. In addition, it is unlikely a vehicle will leave the scene after hitting one.
